We make it easy for you to relax and enjoy your vacation in our laid back beach town with no fast food chains and no traffic lights. A true getaway in paradise is waiting for you at Manasota Key. As much as a paradox as it may seem, the Manasota Key area is best known for little-known beaches. There are a number of these secluded beaches in the area including Manasota Beach, Blind Pass Beach, Englewood Beach (perhaps the best known of these beaches), and Stump Pass Beach.

We come to the Key every year at Thanksgiving to stay and celebrate Thanksgiving. It is “home” for us, clean, comfortable and 40 steps from the beach. You find yourself wishing you could stay additional days. They allow my dog to join us, with no pet fee. Lisa, our host, makes dreams come true. She is professional, kind and willing to accommodate any need we may have. Thank you, once again for the delightful stay.

Great cottage extremely close to the beach with partial water views from the deck. Great location with comfortable amenities. We really enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend this Airbnb to others.

This was our 3rd stay in the last 3 years, Duane and Darlene's property on Manasota Key is well kept, up to date and comfortable. Easily accessible to the beach, and we enjoyed the views from the upstairs sitting area where we enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lisa was very attentive to any needs/questions that we have had during our stay. We plan to come back to the Mermaid House.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mermaid House. This home is perfectly located; a few steps to the beach and a short walk of bike ride to local hangouts. The home was pristine upon our arrival and the view from the front porch sets the perfect tone for a relaxing getaway. We definitely will be back.

I was at the Mermaid house with my family last weekend. Everybody was talking about the beautiful house and amazing location close to the beach. The beds and furniture are so comfortable, and beautifully decorated. I was in love with the house. Thank you so much Duane and Darlene.
