We make it easy for you to relax and enjoy your vacation in our laid back beach town with no fast food chains and no traffic lights. A true getaway in paradise is waiting for you at Manasota Key. As much as a paradox as it may seem, the Manasota Key area is best known for little-known beaches. There are a number of these secluded beaches in the area including Manasota Beach, Blind Pass Beach, Englewood Beach (perhaps the best known of these beaches), and Stump Pass Beach.

We had a wonderful stay. The property is even better in person, very clean, and perfectly located for enjoying Englewood Beach. The hosts were exceptional. Communication was easy and timely, and everything felt thoughtful and well prepared. It was an effortless, relaxing experience from start to finish. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

This is the fourth year my two sisters, niece and I have stayed at the Mermaid House. Love our girl trip tradition! Hosts are responsive and friendly, place is always clean and the view is lovely. (We can see the ocean from our perches on the balcony.) The street is charming and neighbors are really nice. The private beach is so peaceful! Each year we make new discoveries so while the place is the same, our experiences are a little different. So happy we discovered the Mermaid House!

The place was beautiful!! The view from the porch and quiet street was priceless! The house was cute and decorative inside and very comfortable! Duane and Darlene were very responsive and quick to reply! So close to the beach, restaurants and shops we didn’t need to leave the area! With the ease of instacart and Walmart delivery we spent more time on the beach then grocery shopping. We drove from Maryland so my son had all of his fishing gear and enjoyed fishing on the bay and gulf. Lots of shells to be found and watersports around to enjoy. The only thing I wished they had were bikes because the rentals were gone when we tried to rent them. So if you are driving and have a rack bring some bikes.

We come to the Key every year at Thanksgiving to stay and celebrate Thanksgiving. It is “home” for us, clean, comfortable and 40 steps from the beach. You find yourself wishing you could stay additional days. They allow my dog to join us, with no pet fee. Lisa, our host, makes dreams come true. She is professional, kind and willing to accommodate any need we may have. Thank you, once again for the delightful stay.

Great cottage extremely close to the beach with partial water views from the deck. Great location with comfortable amenities. We really enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend this Airbnb to others.
